More handwork

Since I head home tomorrow I don't want to start anything new today so I worked on some UFO handwork. The Sue Spargo BOM block is ready for embellishment and I worked on the embroidery on the appliqué block from Sandra Leichner's book. I was astonished at how the embroidery changed the look of this block. I haven't decided if I want to add the veins in the leaves. What do you think? Does it look finished or does it need embroidered veins.

The way you have cut the leaves from that wonderful fabric - I don't think it needs embroidery. That would only detract from the look of it.
Wonderful work!

I agree, the fabric is already showing lines. And what about quilting them in later?

The fussy cutting of the leaves already looks special, I would probably stop. Very pretty blocks.

I agree - with the beauty and detail of the flower, I don't think the leaves need anything else.

I like the leaves as they are, no veins needed. BEAUTIFUL stitching and beautiful block.

That bird is so life like! I love your Sue Spargo blocks! Are they a combination of wool and cotton fabric?
