Here are a few pictures of my fabric selection for this project.
Since this is a reproduction of a quilt from the 1790's, i decided to go with a reproduction look and am using lots of Dutch Chintz fabrics, French General fabrics and others from my stash. Part 2 will be released on July 15 but with my son arriving about then for a few weeks, I am afraid I may not be able to keep up but I am hoping to find some time to get things prepped for stitching before his arrival. I can't wait!
Happy stitching!

Interesting how you have the medium dot fabric in your compass center and then the applique circles in the outer band. And wow what a pile of fabric to pick from! I am saving the patterns for now but am enjoying seeing all that others are working on.
Ok, so how did you end up doing your dots? The compass is lovely, BTW.
I love your take on LE! The fabrics and colours are just perfect! Can't wait to see how it further unfolds.
Fabulous work! I don't blame you for not wanting to do another after those itsy bitsy circles.:)
This is going to be a fabulous quilt to see come to life. That center is brilliant and that table of gorgeous fabrics is just calling out to be used.
I have seen the quilt on her blog. I know your version is going to be gorgeous. I will enjoy watched your progress.
You've made a lovely start - and such a nice mix of chintz in that pile! Your fussy cut centre is stunning!

It's beautiful, so far! Those dots do look a little intimidating, but I like them.
Beautiful compass and beautiful fabrics. Looking forward to the journey with you.

Looks wonderful! I am really liking the large prints in these compasses. I may lean that way with min as well, but uh-oh, I will have to do some fabric shopping in that case! LOL. I am also thinking of doing it in wool...we'll see!
Gorgeous block, gorgeous fabrics!
Great progress and lovely fabric choices!
I love that block and your circles look perfect!
You are off to an amazing start!
