Bitty houses for March

The start of a new month means a new set of Little blocks from Quiltmakers Bitty Blocks QAL. I love making these little blocks and using up scraps that might otherwise be wasted. This month they were 3" house blocks. House blocks are not normally my favorite but these are just sweet.

I also finally finished sewing the first rosette from the New Hexagon Millifiori QAL. I am now debating whether or not I wish to continue with this project. It is fun but very time consuming and with all the other projects I want to work on I need to think about my word for 2015 which is "Prioritize".

While I think about it I have lots of other projects to keep me busy, including the search for several sewn blocks that I made for a quilt for my grandson. The gremlins in my sewing room are working overtime and I have spent several hours this week searching for something that I had seen a few days earlier. Don't you hate when that happens?

Ha, ha. That happens to me a lot. I have at least two tops in various stages of completion that have not crossed my path yet. They are here somewhere...
Good for you to prioritize and think about whether or not your time is being spent wisely on things you want/need to accomplish.

Very cute little houses! Your hexagon block is stunning! I hope you find your missing blocks. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed too, I have so many projects I want to do, I need to prioritize and get some kind of plan.

Your hexagon is incredible! Just beautiful use of color and contrast! You'll have to use it for something if you don't make the rest of the project. Good luck finding the missing blocks!

Love your houses. Did you see the different size layouts that was posted on Quiltmakers blog. I think I'm going with the smaller quilt. Hugs

So lovely houses. I'm starting with mine today. I really love your hexagon, and I know that this must be very time consuming.

Things go missing in my sewing room all the time! I seem to spend more time looking for things I know are there somewhere, than I do sewing.
Those tiny houses are adorable. I hope you decide to stick with the New Hexagon project--your's is the prettiest I've seen! Of course, I haven't started because I can't find my book--I know it's here somewhere.....

Your hexagon block is like a kaliedascope, it's so captivating!! I can understand that feeling of not wanting to take on extra projects. You could always go back to it in the future. Your houses are such fun, Snd extra sweet at only 3 inches. I hate it when I can't find something in my sewing room, I hope you find your blocks.

Hello Heather, I hopped over from A Quilters garden. I have been very interested in all your projects, I love to hand sew, do EPP and applique.
It was nice to meet you, I'm just off to read more of your older posts. Best wishes Kath in England

Stunning work... yes, the millifiore is definitely something to work on when you think you've made all the quilts you want to for a while, and just want a project that will keep you time busy, without buying loads and loads of supplies....

i do love the piece, and look forward to seeing it as a stand alone piece, or centre piece.

so many new things to try! and finish!
