Fun with my DIL

For the last few months I have been teaching my DIL to quilt. She comes to my house to sew and I watch the sweet little grandson while guiding her along. It is a winning situation for us both! Yesterday she finished this quilt for her friend. She did the quilting on my longarm machine and I finished the binding so it would be ready for giving tomorrow. This is her third quilt and I think she did a great job!

That is a very pretty quilt, really love the use of yellow in the overall areas. Who would not love a quilt made by hand as a gift--how lucky her friend is to get this!! I love to teach others how to sew & quilt, but I am mainly surrounded by men!!

Beautiful quilt, but then, she had a super teacher!

Your teaching days sound perfect! This quilt is wonderful, such a fun pattern and the colours are perfect.

What a great pattern! And I love the colors she chose. I wish I had you for a teacher.

Wow! She did a great job! Third quilt? Way cooler than my third quilt. I think I was still doing nine patches.
