Peony finished

Another busy, busy week that included a trip to Charleston to celebrate the college graduation of my youngest DS.  How exciting that 2 1/2 years after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a car accident and almost dying, that he not only recovered but graduated Summa Cum Laude.  The only sewing that went on this week was the completion of this peony block from the BOM by Esther Aliu. The third one comes out tomorrow so I'd best get busy on number 2 today!!

This is the most beautiful fabric peony I've ever seen! Congrats to the new graduate! That's an amazing story! You should both be proud.

Glad you saved the background fabric for this block. It really makes the peony stand out, but gives another texture to the block!! Congrats on the graduation of your son--what a great Mother's Day remembrance.

Super big congratulations to your son for his graduation! That peony block is breath taking! You have really captured the way light falls on a flower and made it look so real.

What a blessing for your son's recovery has been, it must have been emotional for you to see this day and think back to what you have all been through. Congratulations to him on his graduation. The applique block is beautiful, love the background fabric.
