Well it seems that blogging and hand quilting don't seem to go together very well. Since I am working hard on this quilting there doesn't seem to be much new and interesting to post about. But I have made good progress so here is a picture of a finished corner. I am about 1/3 of the way around the outside edge and I am starting to feel the excitement of a near finish. So much so that despite raw fingers and lots of other stuff I should be doing, I am working on this almost non stop. I am starting to think about binding. Maybe a tiny red flange next to a green binding - hmm what do you think?
I think it will look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the blogging, that can wait until you're done. I've found that hand quilting a big project does mean I have nothing for the blog too.
ReplyDeleteI'm in your cheer squad, I'm getting excited for you.
I can't imagine the number of stitches in that one corner . It's stunning
ReplyDeleteIt is outstanding quilting! You are doing a perfect job! I think your idea of flange sounds nice. If the red and green is too much, you could also consider two colors of green that you used in the quilt. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good choice for binding. It'll be done before you know it if you keep at it.
ReplyDeletegorgeous quilting! It is so exciting to finish such a beauty -

That's stunning! Hand quilting is like that... but yes, it doesn't lend itself to having much to show on your blog due to the length of time it takes.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!!!
