The annual quilting of the Red and Green

Every year for the last 3 or 4 years I have gotten this quilt out do do some hand quilting. Though it isn't a Christmas quilt, the colors do seem to suit the season. Even though it will be a quiet Christmas this year and no decorating as I get ready for the move, it is nice to have this project laying about brightening the room. Plus I love relaxing with some hand quilting while watching a bit of TV. As you can see, this one has lots of quilting and I am just taking it slow and enjoying the process but maybe this will be the year I finish !

  2. Oh, it's really beautiful! I have a Christmas quilt I pull out each year AFTER Christmas. I have tried to make a new block each year...so it will take a while to finish!! Haha! I am too busy with my designs to work on it enough to finish it all at once, but one of these years soon I will have enough blocks to get a large wall hanging done. I am going through my favorite books and choosing blocks that I love. It's been fun! Enjoy your quilting!

  12. Love the colors together in this stunning quilt. The quilting is just gorgeous. Really like the spacing of the quilt motifs around the appliqued flower areas. What a treasure--I hope you get time to work on it--fun to have a project that doesn't need a quick finish!!
