A cardinal for the bride

Life has been crazy and stressful lately so I haven't had much time for seeing but while tiding my sewing table I realized I had not posted this block. I have been working on the Civil War Bride quilt off and on for over a year and I only have a few blocks left. One if these blocks has two birds that look like vultures to me and I decided to change them to cardinals. Much better I think.

  1. very pretty pair of cardinals--I really like the way they are arranged in the leaves--I see a few cardinals around here in the fir trees with their brilliant reds!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving & here's to hope that things will slow down in your world so the important stuff gets done (quilting of course)

Have a happy Thanksgiving and hopefully a stress less on. Hmm, is that possible? Either way, I'm wishing it for you!

  3. I LOVE your cardinals!! I changed mine to bluebirds following Suzi's example. The vulture-like birds on the original were... interesting :0)

  6. I'm always happy to see you're working on this quilt. The Cardinal birds wonderful, nicer than vultures. I like the way some of the leaves over lap the birds giving the scene a 3D look.
