My DIL and I finished these two quilts this week. She made the quilt for her friend's son James and I made the other one for her little guy. I am trying to teach her a new skill with each project so this time we tried machine blanket stitch appliqué. It was such fun coming up with these little critters to add to the basic pattern that we found on the Moda bake shop. We also had fun with the label. Yippee, 2 finishes this week!
Cute Cute X2! That Backyard Baby is so darn cute, and love the way your quilts show it off! Congrats to you both on your lovely finishes!
ReplyDeleteOh my word---adorable! and that label!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts they are just gorgeous!! And love that little caterpillar, very cute. Well done ladies.
ReplyDeleteThose are great! You guys really dolled up a basic pattern and made those quilts glamorous! Lovely!

ReplyDeleteKathie
OK, maybe it's a caterpillar, but surely you and DIL put it on to commemorate his "worm" mode of pre-crawling locomotion! Gave me a good chuckle anyway.
ReplyDeleteAre they really starting to call him Chris, or was it--as I suspect--a cheeky way to save 6 letters worth of appliqué?! That reminds me...I need to scan and send you letter patterns for his Christmas stocking.
