More baskets
Work continues on my little basket quilt. I am finding these baskets to be addictive and a perfect project during this busy time. Lots more to do but by prepping about 8 a day I am making great progress and enjoying the process.
Well this is weird...I just last night picked up those same little baskets I had prepped for applique and was shaking my head at the lousy looking applique I had done on the 1st one...SO-----I decided right there and then to use blanket stitch around them and I am off on a new journey.... I love your greens...Julierose
This is going to be a beautiful quilt! When I first saw this pattern, I decided not to make it because I do very beginner applique and have way too many projects already in the works. The more I see of your blocks, the more I like it making it difficult to resist!
can we see a close up of the fabrics your using, love the colors....I am making this quilt too I need to get them back out again I am close to being done , silly I should just finish this quilt I did the same thing prepped 12 at a time and they went quickly when you had them all ready to sew! thanks for the inspiration I will get back to it Kathie
How funny! We have identical design walls right now...I am also, slowly, making these baskets. THey are a little ignored right now as I am hot and heavy into another applique project, but I will get back to them. Yours are lovely! How many are you shooting for?
Interesting setting with the nine patches.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And I love the occasional 9 patch thrown in ; )

ReplyDeleteinteresting border and those 9 patch, here and there. I like it so far.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to these up on your design wall. I really like the random placement of the nine patches, is that how you'll place them?
ReplyDeleteLove your baskets! How many do you have to make? How big are the blocks?
