If you have been following my blog for a while you might remember that most of my quilts stall when I get to adding the border. I am thrilled to finally have a border on this one and was even more excited to use a bunch of half square triangle that I had made from scraps from a previous fabric. At first I thought I would add another appliqué border but since I want to hang it over my bed, size dictates that I am done. Besides I really want to start a different hexie project and will only reward myself with a new start when I get a few UFOs finished. I really need se quality quilting time!
It's beautiful, Heather! Now do you want to finish putting mine together?
ReplyDeleteThat border really fits the design of the quilt--makes an elegant feel to the whole quilt. The border fabric really ties in with the fabric used in the top. Beautiful!!

ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Heather. The border is perfect. Is the middle part appliqued or is it a fabric panel? The whole quilt is amazing! Well done.
